if you see an ortho- he'll give you two iptions: 1- physical therapy
2- surgery
DON'T have knee surgery. - I've had 3 and things just kept getting worse.
sounds like your ligaments are out of whack or stretched. if it's permanent damage, best thing to do is build up the quads to help strenghthen where the ligaments are week.
My knee cap tends to move toward the outside of my leg, so I focus more on the the leg curls with my toes pointed inward.
you should see an ortho, but ask around before you do anything dramatic.
