just avoid doing calves on leg days
do them on arm, chest, back, or shoulder days and yes, you can do them 3 times or so a week. If you have to do so, increase the food. Oh, one other thing I forgot about is that for each set, change the foot stance (toes pointed out, toes pointed straight ahead and toes pointed inward).
