I agree with you VooDoo on the 1st ammendment thing but, most of the people that are protesting don't really even have any idea why they are out there. All they know is that they don't want us to go to war. And most of them think that all of this is over oil. That alone shows how much they really understand what is going on. Have any of these people even heard of the kind of person that Saddam really is? Do they know that he will shoot a person in head if they even remotley (sp?) disagree with him? (And that has really happened, proven)
They are a bunch of people that want to belong to a group and make a statement. But, if most of them knew the facts, they wouldn't be out there. And if they were, they'd be out there praying for our troops or like STK said, doing something constructive. What really gets to me is that they don't realize how this emotionally crushes the families that have relatives in the war.
Like I said, I agree with the 1st ammendment, it's a wonderful thing. But, there are steps that should be taken before making such bold statements such as getting all of the facts straight and really understanding what it is that you're trying to acheive.
Well, there's my opinion.
