I have found it works the same for me whether my skin fold is 1" or 1/4" thick (right now it's 1/2"). Just so long as you get it under the skin it seems to enter your system and do the job it's supposed to. Post back here if you find it is not working. GH's effects are pretty noticeable for me so if something has gone wrong (like the time I destroyed a batch by squirting a jet of water onto it, LOL!), I can usually tell.
