I understand your frustration. When I started dieting I relied heavily on this and other boards for information. What I couldn't understand was being totld to up my calories. I'm like "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT!"
But I followed the advise I was given. I have slowly increase my calories from 1600 when I started now I'm at about 2000 day. My metabolism hasn't slowed. Also every couple of weeks I purposfully get my kcals up to 2300-2500 per day for about 5 days. No cheating just upping the carbs. My cutting diet is already high protein & fat.
I think upping the carbs, but keeping it clean might help. Why don't you give us you stats & what you are eating at what times this would probably be best, 'cause looking out can get blurry, but us looking in can offer a new perspective. make sure to include portions.
