Leg Press Vs. Squat... there is no comparison. Squat is a 100x better exercise fot the development of your legs and entire body for that matter.
Not only are ATF squats therapeutic for the knee, but they help develop the stableizers in your hips and blasts your legs from a less mechanical angle. Leg Press puts an enormous amount of stress on the knees and really isn't the best "rehab" exercise... at least not at the higher weights.
To be honest, I think doing 20 squats at 135 is much more valuable than doing 5-10 reps on leg press at 800lbs or more.
