Veins popping out after Meltdown Training
I started a new training routine geared on fat loss yesterday. It's called Meltdown training. Basically, it implies supersetting 4 exercises with little rest between sets. It was designed by this guy called Coach Alessi. Every upper body exercise is followed by a lower body exercise. I think this method was originally popularized by C. Poliquin in the body-comp program.
For example:
A1) Chin-Ups x 10
A2) BB Hack Squats x 10
A3) DB Bench Press x 10
A4) BB Deadlifts x 10
Rest 2 min
Then restart the circuit for a total of 3 sets per session.
Then you move into ab work while your heart is recuperating.
After my first two circuits I really felt like puking, my heart was beating so fast that I could hear my own heartbeat. But the worse were my veins. They were all sticking out about a 1/4" especially in my forearms.
Has anybody ever tried this drastic method? What results have you had? IMO this kicks ass but supposedly it only works for maximum 6 weeks because your body quickly adapts to this anaerobic cardio.
Thanks
