Happy Birthday!
I was in Miami for the weekend cellebrating my friend's 30th b-day. With 6 girls and 2 cars, a 5 hr. drive took about 7.5 with all the stops and wrong turns. LOL We had a great time though! We met up with some others down there and wound up with 12 people to help cellebrate on Sunday night.
I drove and decorated the inside of the car for the birthday girl with metalic star stickers on the roof, stars with streamers dangling on the sides, streamers overhead, Happy 30th mylar balloons on each side of the back seat, and a crown for the birthday girl to wear...and she wore that thing EVERYWHERE! LOL She was the star for the weekend and loved every bit of attention she got.
I packed lots of no-carb snacks and waters (b-day girl doesn't eat carbs) and we had to stop about every 60 miles to go to the bathroom. Nobody wrote out directions or even had a map (my atlas is outdated) so we just kinda winged it and only took the scenic rout a
few times.
I just had a new sterio installed and Stromba loaded a few hundred mp3's on cd's for the trip which was pretty cool. "Let's Get Retarted In Here" was our favorite as we played it every time we took a wrong turn. Also got new brakes, tires, wiper blades, and oil change helping us have a good smooth ride.
We drank just enough so that nobody had hangovers and we ate pretty light so no one had tummy aches. We spent a few hrs. with the b-day girl's family including her 92 y.o. grandmother, spunky old lady! It rained most of the time so we never got any time in on the beach but that was fine with me. The hotel we stayed at had a rooftop lounge with waterbeds to chill on and we had the whole place to ourselves on Sunday afternoon for a while.
Horray for birthdays!!! :bigsmile
