Pec pain-what should I do?
I've been progressively going heavier on my incline benches and flat benches for a few months with good progress before I began my diet. I only bench once a week but for some reason a few weeks ago I started out on some incline smith pressing and when I got to my workout weight I felt something in the delt-pec insertion point when lowering the weight. It felt like either a series of strains or mini-tears...I knew it could'nt be tears because my chest wasn't black & blue and I could finish my set but with pain. Now when I even try to approach the same weight I used for the workout I feel the same pain. My left side says "bring it on" but my right pec says "hell no". What gives? I think I'm going to stick to hammer presses and dumbbells for a while; it doen't hurt when I do them. Does anyone know what this is and will it go away?
