I have exactly the same problem fella !!
Have had x-rays and all sorts..... nothing.
I am putting it down to scar tissue. All is fine on flat press but get the bench above 45 degrees and im in trouble. i just keep massaging it when working (real deap, get me thumb right in there) and that seems to kinda get me through 3 or 4 sets.
