Hey Jay, give this a try it's very controversial but it hits the VMO. Get on a hack squat machine, First make sure you draw in your core (Pull your belly button into spine)as you desend stay on your heels, go just beyond 90 degrees as you press up push from your toes, transfer weight to first 3 toes& push from there, and or super set with leg extension's single leg toe out!
At first don't use alot jof weight, focus on contracting the muscle;
