It was a night of great fights! Buakaw lost because he was to cocky IMO. He has been riding high believing the hype that he was invincble. He came in with the wrong game plan against Masato and paid for it. I dont even like Masato much, but Masato's boxing combinations and explosiveness are his strength, and Buakaw, who has improved his boxing over the years, thought that he could stand and trade with Masato. He got dropped in the first round and it all went down hill from there. He got sloppy and aside from some low kicks and a couple of clinch knees, did nothing to faze Masato. Buakaw did not throw the amount of kicks he is known for throwing and he barely used any push kicks to keep Masato in range of his body kicks. He decided to box with the better boxer. Buakaw lost fair and square on this one.As for Andy Souwer, he will go down in the book as yet another kickboxing great to come out of the Netherlands. He fought some tough guys and just looked so relaxed. He is so technical and such an amazing striker, and I knew he had a chance this year with Buakaw and Masato being the opening fight, which would therefore eliminate one of the tougher opponents and wear down the winner of that fight.Congrats to Souwer! 2-Time K-1 World Max Champ!!Also props to Artur Kyushenko, people counted him out cause he isnt well known, but he beat the crap out of Zambidis and hurt Masato more than Buakaw could. He lost by KO to Masato, but did alot better than people expected him to do.
