The movie is based upon a true story but it is pretty sad. A kid graduates from Emory University and just disappears on his own accord. He donates the remainder of his college fund, burns all forms of ID including his SSN card, and sets out on a course for the truest form of freedom that he could know. Eddie Vedder did most of the soundtrack so that was okay, but Sean Penn directed it, so you know its going to be looney liberal to the core too. It wasn't too bad of a movie, but keep in mind it was pretty sad. A link to give you an idea about the movie is here......
Into the Wild Movie: Now Playing & Coming to DVD and HD DVD March 4th
For some people, if you like sad movies, it might be rentable. I kinda wish I hadn't rented it and rented something with things blowing up instead.
