I wouldn't do this if was me. You need to realise customs are a different animal and have full say unto themselves what they do with you at the checkpoint. Sure you might have legitimate and legal reasons why your carrying IGF and syringes but customs can refuse you entry based on that and then you might have to fight them legally to overturn their decision. Of course you have to do this at your country of citizenship because they refused you entry to begin with. Just not worth the chance to begin with. You can't argue with customs. They just do as the please.
Are you not able to buy some domestically (US) and have it shipped to where your staying as this would be a much better option. You could do this before time and have it here when you get here.
