I work out in a small studio where there's usually no more than 5-6 people working out at a time so the rule was who ever got to the stereo first had dibs to picking out the music. My friend Miles who also was the owner had independent trainers coming in and out and there was this particular woman (might I add OLDER woman) would always beat me with just minutes of getting in first. I would always get so irrate because she picked and played the slow oldies and contemporary music all the freak'n time!!!! One day, I was really pumped up and ready to throw down a good work out and shock the hell out of my muscles... the music that was playing was fitting the mood and then she out of the blue switched it up and I kid you not... that freak'in BodyGaurd song came on.... I will always love you and totally destroyed my momentum!!!!
It took all of me not to hit that woman for messing with the music. Miles would always play old-man music too... I try NOT to be there when he's training or training clients. I'll admit this.... if it were'nt for the music on my i-pod, I dont think I'd be able to get through a good workout without losing my mind.
