It should also be noted that there is a HUGE difference between, a carb restricted diet, and a ketogenic diet. Carb restricted means you should still be eating a signifcant amount of (healthy) carbs everyday, but just enough to provide the energy you need to complete your workouts. Ketosis can only be achieved by almost completely eliminating carbs from you diet altogether. Some people say anything under 80 grams a day will induce ketosis. Some say less than that is required. It is HORRIBLE for your metabolism, and after going off ketosis, your body is going to want to store as many carbs as fat, because it thinks it might not get anymore carbs for a long time.
I am not a nutritionist, but I believe you will be happier with results if you simply reduce your carbs, and up your cardio. While the carbs you DO eat, should be clean, whole wheats breads, oatmeals, green veggies, etc... (no white carbs)
