In a nutshell yes. Basically there has been a 2 or 3 day ongoing spectacle involving these two. It culminated with Obama's sharp rebuke, and resulting vitriolic condemnation. The damage done has been huge. The media in large part has been trying to keep as much of a lid on this as it reasonably can, but this episode has provided ample material for the Clinton campaign to win the nomination. If by some miracle Obama survives this, the McCain campaign would also have ample opportunity to use this against him.
I liken this to the Swift-boat controversy that so damaged Kerry's campaign. The primary difference though is that the 527s responsible for those ads had to go back to Vietnam for their material, while similar groups would only have to look back at most a few months for live material from this controversy.
The word is out that a Clinton supporter arranged Rev. Wright's press club appearance that brought all this to a head. Hillary is straight ruthless.
