Hey RJ and PatK, I think your right if your talking about the exercise from a purely hypertrophy stand point. But, I believe that from a strength stand point there would be some merit to the exercise. By doing the Jump Squats you actually working the nervous system more, training the muscle fibers to fire faster. By doing this you would have cross over to limit strength. If you are familiar w/ West Side Methods for gaining strength you'll notice that 1-2 days a week are dynamic strength days. These are with the core movement(squat, bench, dead) and are performed with sub-maximal percentages(50-65%), and done as fast and explosive as possible. Just my opinion but yea I think there is something to what this guy is saying.
