i feel its intensity with me notreally ever proper nutrition and such..20 rep squats alone or followed by stiff legged deads always puts me by the door or the floor..so my vote is intensity alone i guess..i do the yates style of training for all those who have seen his vid or read his book or articles..working up to a top weight for 1-2 sets and failure and beyond into negatives..i also work intensity in on occasion with drop weight sets..really i just alternate the 2 styles if im not involving 20 rep squats..
