Going to start running my post cycle HCG therapy and needed some more input. I read Bronc and Sust's articles, however, have some first time post cycle questions, so please bear with me. Being that my HRT cycle is Dr. prescribed, I will give you his recommended usage with the HCG:

10000U HCG mixed with 5ML of Bacteriostatic water. Inject (IM) .5ML for 10 days straight. Doc said nothing about continuing the teslac while on the HCG, however, from what I read, I should definitely continue with that or the liquidex I just purchased due to the elevated estrogen levels.(?)

Any advice is always appreciated. I heard the HCG can be a libido enhancer, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. Props.

...numerous fertilty studies show the active halflife is rougly 2.5days. I Deduce that HCG would lose LH stimulating effectiveness in 5days or so.

Concentrations of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) were measured after intramuscular hCG administration in 34 patients undergoing ovarian stimulation in an in vitro fertilization program. Serum hCG levels were detectable by an immunoenzymetric assay up to 14 days after injection. Individual variation in hCG concentration after injection could be minimized by expressing the daily hCG level as a fractional distribution of the value observed 36 hours after hCG administration (hCG0). In nonpregnant patients, less than 10% of the hCG0 value was found on day 10. The disappearance rate measured 36 hours after injection of hCG was exponential with a mean half-life of 2.32 days.

If You are on a long cycle, I've found that stretching out the HCG to every 4-5 helps bring Testicular Volume back completely.
The time and amounts required to restore function are directly related to how long the cycle was and ESPECIALY how large the weekly dose of Test was.

That said, I have run 2500iu/EOD for 5 shots then off.
While not exactly the same as your DR's 2000iuED for 10days, its close. For me the every 4-5days seems to have less acne problems and got me back to normal sooner. Due mostly to the extra 2wks of administration I have when going every 4-5 days.

I would follow the DR's recommendations since he knows what he prescribed for you dosage wise and I don't. If the Post Cycle Therapy is not completely successful, you can go back to him and I'm sure he can rectify it.

The reason for spacing out the shots was based on some studies that indicate an initial peak rise in plasma test levels occurs around 2 hour after administration a second peak occurs 48-96 hours after the initial shot. Also it has been shown that after HCG administration test levels will be elevated for 6 days.

The only problem that I see with taking lots of HCG all at once (or many large consecutive injections) is a large rise in estrogen which if not countered with anti-estrogens will retard LH start up as well as the usual estrogen related problems. Also high levels of HCG have been shown to have progesterone like effect on the testes where the LH receptors down regulate. It can take up to 3 months for this problem to fully reverse. Remember LH is the hormone released by the pituitary to tell your balls to wake up and start producing your own test ASAP so the sooner you can get an efficient LH loop the better

...I forgot to talk about the Test levels themselves. Good info.
The stimulation of LH lasting approx 5days, the subsequent Testosterone release would possibly last 6+days in the bloodstream, alot of it bound, but a good amount left for use in tissues.

Sust brought up the other VERY important fact. That resulting Test boost is going to also cause a spike in Estrogen. So reguardless of what the Doc says, I'd stay on that Teslac, or get some Arimidex or at the very least Nolvadex.

Please Post up the results of running the ED for 10 method your Doc recommended, I would really be interested in hearing your results.
