any good banner makers out there?

Aside from not being animated I think it looks fine, but....
Pretty is not always effective in a banner. You need contrast to the surroundings to draw attention to it. So I would look for at least a border or font that contrasts the board you're on. Some banners that look like they are part of the board are never picked up by the eyes of the page viewer because it's all a blur when they are navigating to something else they are trying to find, like the forums. Rarely does anyone just sit and gaze at the top of the board if there isn't something to draw their attention.
