Their customs are worse, but the security at the airport probably isn't as bad. That's what he is really going to be dealing with. Unless securtiy finds something or he gets pulled for a random customs check they shouldn't even be involved.

But would you really want to risk that random customs check? I know the odds are probably good that you wouldn't but they would never be good enough for me.

I have flown into Australia from different parts of Asia (Indonesia, ********, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan etc) quite a few times and I have never been unlucky enough to have one but I have witnessed people who declare nothing getting pulled aside for that random check. Just not worth it.

I would'nt try it out of ********. But you can get anything in from overseas/Mexico, but you might not want to keep it in it's original container (hint-hint), and that new container should be sterilized (hint-hint). I don't want to come out with full details because "they" comb these type of sites and "they'll" know what to look for. Just think outside the box, and you'll be o.k. But like Mr. X said, I would'nt try Thai.
