why Western union called me

what does it mean when western union calls you about money you are sending and sais that they cant release money unless you get the adress, dat of birth, ID , and name of the person you are sending money too. They said that this person could fax this info over before money is released to him why is that does anyone know?

what you do you think it could be? they said that they have his name in the system that he has to fax in more information before they can release the funds and asking me if i know the person and stuff. Should I just go back to WU and get my money?

If the dude is already in the system why would they need him to send more info? I dunno doesnt sound right to me. My WU location doesnt give a damn. I walk in send money no questions asked. Just the way things should be.

Huh? Western Union only requires the city (state, province, country, etc...) you are sending money to, the name of the person who is picking up the moneygram, sometimes a phone number for the person you are sending money to, and perhaps one or two other very trivial but somewhat irrelevant things. Western Union never requires the date of birth or more pertinent information unless you send $3,000.00 or more. Also, the only thing the person on the receiving end needs is the information about the sender....the name of the sender, where it is sent from and other very general information.

This BS can't be real unless you sent too much money via Western Union. Hell! If you sent less than 1,000.00 they don't even ask you for a picture ID. If what you are saying is true, ask the Western Union person who is callling you to provide you with a SSN and a driver's liscence number because you require that for your own protection or some other bullshit.

The WU lady told me that they dont do business with the person that I am sending money too i dont know why so I just went back and picked my money back up. I am not taking no Risks not going to Jail. Maybe Feds are watching him or something.

Do you live at the Western Union location or right next door? Did you even leave your seat from the computer during this interaction? Is this domestic or international?

I had a problem with trying to send over the inernet WU . But when I went to the Physical location it was a breeze . I dont think you getting all the truth here. Just had a friend place an order yesterday No problems.I don't think he did leave his seat.
