Did my first injection of AS Test E yesterday...I did 1.6ml (400mg) in the glutes and am I ever sore today.

I was shaking uncontrollably during the whole procedure, even once the needle was in. When I finally found my balls, I pushed the needle into the top outermost part of my glute, aspirated, then (while shaking) pushed the oil into my glute in about 15 secs. During the injection the needle moved in and out about 1/4" and moved all around due to my shaking.

The injection itself was painless, however, the next morning I couldn't walk. I cannot sit on my left cheek at all because it is sore to the touch. I think that it is a little swollen and probably bruised. Within 2 hours of being awake, I start to get feverish symptoms-shivering, hot, weak, achy, and then for some odd reason I would start laughing for no reason at all. My fever and its symptoms were gone within 8 hours. I have heard that testosterone can give you what they call "test fever," correct? Other than the shaking and moving of the needle, where did I go wrong? Did I inject too fast? Too much?

BTW, I am running Test E @ 500mg/wk. but decided to frontload for the first 2 injections to get my test levels up faster.

I would inject slower...45-60 secs....warm the stuff up first, because A_S stuff is super thick, hair dryer....But even if you do all of this...it will still be sore for the first couple of shots...im doing some now...third week and it still hurts like shit...it has alot of BA in it without a question, so expect it to be sore. Next time dont be shaky handed that will make it even worse!!! I cant imagine how sore your shit is!!! Heating pad will give some temporary relief....

I had to skip my leg workout because of the soreness and I dont want to skip it every week.

Does the amount that I injected have any significance in the amount of pain? Will I get a fever every time I inject?

I was standing when I injected and because of my nervousness, I could have flexed the muscle. Should I lay down when injecting?

I am currently using AS products and I am on my 6th week of a 12 week cycle of Test C and Deca. Here is what I have found to be very useful up to this point.

1st....run some extremely warm water in the basin of your sink with the sink stopper inserted. Place your vials in the water and let them sit at least 10 to 15 minutes while the oil heats up. I will usually take this time to shower and wash the area I am going to be injecting. (I am a huge proponent of a glute injection site.)

2nd...Take the vials out of the water. If you can take the tops off your vials then twist the needle off the syringe. Then take the syringe and withdraw the desired amount and then place the needle back on the syringe.
If you cannot take the tops off your vials then use a smaller gauge needle to withdraw what you need then switch back to the desired needle you will be using. Always push a little out of the needle to coat the needle itself.

3rd...Take your time and most importantly RELAX. The worst thing you can do is be in a hurry.

I agree with Pianoman, aspirate the needle first then you need to inject slowly into the muscle. I also find it helpful once I am done to massage the area for about a minute or two just to get things moving. Also the more you do it the more confident you will become and the easier it will be.

Sorry I did respond to your follow-up questions.

Since I always inject into the glute area I will always try to schedule my leg workouts somewhere between my 2 injections that I do per week. This prevents any additional pain to the area after doing a heavy leg workout.

I think the pain you are experiencing is due to the fact that you injected very quickly and second because you were moving the needle around more than you should have. When I did my very first injection many years ago I actually went through the exact same thing you are currently going through. I was sore as hell for about a week and had flu like symptomos. I could not even sit on the chair in my office without wincing in pain. I was so scared that I went to the doctor because I had a knot the size of a golf ball on my ass. He told me to take some Advil for the swelling and then winked and said that I needed to either slow down the injection or have somebody else do it because it was going to be a long, painful and not so enjoyable cycle if I didn't.

I have always had a lot of success standing; actually I don't think I know anyone who will actually lie down.

I know I said this in my last response, but remember to take your time and above all else just RELAX.

yeah brother, slow down that injection time. i usually take 1 1/2 to 2 minutes for 2 mls. also, i run the syringe with the needle and top on under hot water for about 3 minutes. gets the oil nice and thin.

I never do any of the heating or any of that stuff... I hardly get sore... you need to calm down when injecting... if you have a wife or girlfriend have her do the injection.... shaking all around and repetitive poking and jabbing will get you sore very fast..... the slower you inject the less pain you will have... I prefer the oil to be thicker so I get a slower injection this is why I dont heat it.... and about being sick my first shot I almost threw up and I got hot flashes..... it will go away...

The fever I had, although it was terrible, went away within 8 hours. Will that fever come back after the next injection? I am a college student and I was in a class when I started to get sick. I started laughing for no reason at all...people thought I was stoned...almost got kicked out...

Its been a little over 24 hours and the pain is starting to subside. It was pretty bad this morning, but after taking 2 advil it seems to be much less sore and much looser.

As of now, my injections are on mondays and thursdays. The problem is that I do legs on Fridays but I wont be able to do that if im in this much pain. Should I rearrange my workout schedule or my injection schedule?

Here's my current workout schedule:

Monday: Chest, triceps, abs
Wednesday: Back, biceps, forearms
Friday: Legs, abs
Saturday: Deltoids, abs

My workout schedule can be reworked, however, I usually like to do legs late in the week because it leaves me sore for 3+ days (I use weekends to recover).

Take a deep breath for next injection and slow it down boy!

You'll be fine but do try to inject slowly and allow the oil to dissipate a little during the injection and this should help with soreness but mostly stop jabbing yourself repeatedly as your more likely to do some tissue damage this way.

I find it easier to stay steady when I lay on my side for a glute injection.

Anybody agree with this?
