Not sure about the laws over there, but could you just re-buy your stuff at a pharmacy over there to use while you're there? In a lot of countries you can just walk into a pharmacy and buy stuff without a Rx.

If you're going to one excuse would be diabetes. But what about buying the pins when you reach your destination??

Yeah I thought about just buying the pins over there....I will see if that is possible.

I mean would they really notice just a few needles hidden deep in my luggage? I thought about using the diabetic excuse....but I dont think diabetics use 23ga pins???

I doubt it would pass off with the diabetic excuse b/c you're not carrying 1/2 cc slin pins. Secondly, I wouldn't risk it because of how the airlines even think fingernail clipper may be used to hi-jack a plane . Needles plus liquid in an "odd" container = "omg, he's planning to drug the pilots and crash the plane."

Probably not but would you risk it on the off chance they do. I wonder how many drug mules have thought the same thing with what there carrying through and are now behind bars??

don't really know how custom is about gear coming INTO the country. maybe have someone mail it to you once your there? seems the safest to me. at the very least i'd leave the pins. if they find the pins you might thinkyou have a good excuse for them. to me, it seems like it would just arouse suspicions.
