Beginner Advice

I am 45 years old, 5'7", 155 <10% bodyfat, I work out 5 days a week. I am looking for strength gains with little to no weight gains if possible. What would be my best choice?

Most people come in here expecting steriods to work miracles. You question them, and find out that their diet it all screwed up.

The most anabolic thing you can take is food.

Overall my diet is pretty clean. High protein low carb diet. Only junk is the occasional ice cream. Other than that it's pretty clean. I also take protein shakes and creatine. My strength is pretty good now. Deadlift and Squats over 315, bench 285. Always looking to learn and improve.

Brings back good memories, when i was 17, i lifted 130 kg i bench and 150 kg in squat 5 reps:P

im thinking winstrol....but honestly, you dont need it for what you are trying to do. Any roid is going to add weight to you.


You may want to just re-do your training styles, this will help you.

Just strength gains can be aquired without much size/weight gains by doing more reps at a lower weight.

How many calories a day are you taking in?

Most people say they eat clean, but that doesn't tell us how much.

If you want to get stronger, your going to put on weight, thats just a fact.

And to do that, your diet at your age has to be spot on.

I know, being older than you and having gone thru what your going thru now.

Calorie intake is 2500 to 2750/day, protein is probably 150g, carbs 75 to 100g. My goal is to squeek out more strength with my current build. I have some play with current body fat and I know it is difficult to maintain a lower body fat count at my age. I continue to change up my routine at the gym, but have come to a ceiling on gains.

Anavar, it wont put on much weight and it won't give you gains you can keep but it will give you strength, say 50mg divided a day for 6 weeks?
