Losing weight on cycle instead of gaining

Is it typical that one would lose weight during cycle before gaining? How about someone who cycles and never gains but loses weight? What could be the possible reasons for weight loss on a cycle instead of weight gains?

Your very likely to loose some body fat as you'll see body recomposition. If your diet is inadequate then you could also very well loose weight rather than gain.

Plz, if you can, give a better explanation....what is it in the steroids that if diet is improper u will not gain? From a layman's point of view, an uneducated guess, I will suppose that steroids make u lose BF cuz it is taking it and eating it up cuz protien needs energy from fat source, if u dont eat good enough, then the steroids will eat away what weight u have. I made this post cuz I seen a few posts on forums of people stating that they either didnt make any gains or that they lost weight, so I am simply trying to get a better understanding for myself as well as any others who read this thread.

Diet is the key dude.............we've said it a thousand times now and have sticky's on it. You have to understand that THE MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is eat properly. Diet is responsible for 85% (estimated) of your growth and it is the one area that people overlook the most. You will get more quality muscle that you can keep out of a good diet than with any drugs..

Steroids don't even need to be in the equation. If you begin to train harder then you burn more calories. If you burn more calories then you lose weight unless you start eating more. It doesn't get any simpler than calories in versus calories burned.

Now let's add steroids into the equation. Steroids make your workouts more intense which equals burn more calories and you recover quicker so you work out more often which means you burn more calories. If you don't eat then you lose weight and you whine about losing weight on your cycle and you think something was wrong with your gear when it all comes down to nutrition.

If you would have upped your caloric intake and re-energized your workout by switching it up you could have gained some more mass without a single steroid. Save money, better for your health, and it is more effective than pumping steroid after steroid into your body. That's what the meathead bodybuilders do...they keep taking higher and higher doses yet they just continue to gain very little then lose when they're off cycle. Then they take even higher doses and that's how steroids get a bad name. The side effects increase with the higher doses. Be smart and do it right. Get your diet into alignment with your goals. The rest will fall in place.
