I don't think Rat was inferring he got anything from the gym. He was just asking about being checked for an STD because they can cause bumps on your arms.
I stuck bumps/arms/std into google and a bunch of std's cause bumps on the skin. Some of them are pretty nasty looking. Ruined my lunch.

Did u just get the swab done? Or did u ever have to get the wee umbrella down there too, to scrape all the gunk out?

My mate has had both, and he says the umbrella is about 1000 times worse than the swab. I can't even imagine it.
