just wondering on average how many cycles you guys do per year?

2 12 week cycles i think would be ok. with proper bloodtesting and pct.
as long as you have a good recovery and get ur natural hpta kickin after cycles you should be cool. Also test ur lipids too. Im probable being conservative here, im sure youll find plenty of guys that run more.

Depends on the length of your cycles. If you are doing short esters in 6-8 weeks cycles then you could safely do 3. I agree with getting blood work done as well.

Just calculate Time on and Time off. That will give you an accurate number.

Question on the blood work... How? I m/ean, do you just go to the docs and say "hey, I want you to check my blood - please."? I'm sure I sound totally idiotic but I'd hate to make a big mistake.

Also - what are the normal/right readings?

Well you have two choices IMO. Tell the doctor what you are doing and say you want to make sure your recovering between cycles or lie and say you are felling depressed, low libido, blah blah. The lie will only work once I'm sure. There are open minded doctors out there. They may not prescribe you anything but some will monitor your health. Us older guys have it a bit easier.
