has anyone ever used bromocriptine....for replacing dostinex?? jus curious bec. its cheaper? it prevents lactose build up which should prevent prolactin build up right?? am i correct on this? also any down side to this instead of jus using dostinex?

Bromocriptine may be used. It has more side effects than dostinex. Dostinex has sides but the kind you like. I just can't handle bromocriptine's sides but it's perfectly acceptable to use in place of dostinex.

Bromo is good but it's about 1/2 as effective as dostinex.

As mentioned Bromo will work, but has more side effects (nausea, loss of appetite, headaches, etc).

Those are the one's I got and I didn't like it at all. I had a lot of nausea and a bad headache which is rare for me. I was pretty much miserable. I've used both and will gladly pay the extra for dostinex. It "comes" in first, second, and sometimes third.
