bumping up the Test

Hey fellows,
I was diagnosed with Low T. My blood work came back and I had a rating of 198 and for a 38yr old that is really low. My doc started me out with 200mg every 4 weeks on Test Cyp. He refused to alter from the treatment despite my roller coaster hormonal ride. I switched up docs and she changed it to 200mg every 2 weeks, then to 100mg every week. Now I had my first cycle and used 500mg weekly for 16 wks. Got big and strong but I knew I had more blood work to get so I didn't take anything for 4wks before the blood work. When it came back I was at 91 and she fell over. She up the dosage to 200mg wkly and yesterday I went for a check up and I told her I had been taking 250mg wkly. Show she changed the script to OFFICIAL 250mg wkly.

My question is when does the Test Cyp begin to be a anabolic benefit. At what level does the dosage need to be to be anabolic and how long can you maintain the dosage.

Now I plan to cycle again starting next month at 500mg wkly for another 16 wks. Had great gains with it. But 250mg wkly for an indefinite length of time seems to be allot. I might be wrong but yeh. The manipulation of the blood work is on me. I just didn't know how long you can stay at this level. She blames the amount I am taking on absorption and said if the blood work doesn't change then she will continue to bump up the dosage.

Hard to give advise in this area. Youve already manipulated your bloodwork but stopping after your cycle which caused her to up your dosage. Now your concerned that your taking too much which may be true. I would either get more bloodwork done after a month or two of taking what she tells you , or i would tell her what you did. At least she can make a proper adjustment. Gains are nice and all but its not worth your health. After a 16 week cycle which IMO is very long, of course your test would have bottomed out and freaked her out.

May want to wait till some of the hrt guys get on here and can advise better than I can. Id get your bloodwork done again before doing another 16 week cycle though.

As for the HRT; 200-250mg of test c or e is what most guys I know are on. They run these HRT for 20 weeks and then start right back up. The reality of the situation however is that they are now committed to this "program" forever or until they don’t care about low test levels.
As for the level at which you ask when does "Test begin to be a anabolic." … that is a trick question, test is anabolic at any level. But if what you are asking is at what dose will I see noticeable results i.e. a significant increase of lean muscle mass...most people agree 400mg is the low end. However the guys I know who only take the recommend HRT dose 200-250mg every week exercise and look great, they just aren’t huge. So it depends on what you are looking for brother.
