Generic vs Brand

I just had a long discussion with a guy who's been in the pharmaceutical field for over 30 years. He informed me that the FDA only requires a + or - 20% leeway in bioavailabilty for a drug to be generic. I also read this wiki on the matter: Bioavailability - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He said you can tell a huge difference between taking a brand testosterone and a generic testosterone.

Seems like most generics would error on the negative side rather than the positive side. I have personally noticed a difference between different generics, seems like some are more effective than others...

Anyone have any experience with this?

I'm on TRT and am considering requesting that my Doc prescribe brand only....

There is usually no difference between generics and brand, that's all myth.

you cant tell a difference between brand and generic. with your brand name u know ur getting properly dosed testosterone made in a proper clean lab. generic can be underdosed and made in kitchen of sum shady dudes house. most the time with testosterone this isnt the problem as its very cheap to produce. i have taken pharm grade for awhile but personally its not worth the extra money, the only difference between the two was the steep price for the pharm grade test, unless u can get it paid for with insurance.

I think the op is talking about generic vs name brand, not name brand vs UGL.

I personally like name brand better, its probably placebo effect mostly though. When I was using pharmacutical narcotics, I always opted for the name brand, they did the job better.
If you want name brand just request it at the pharmacy, they will give it to you, but I suspect the price is gonna be up there. I have used both while on trt, and couldn't notice much if any difference. Not worth the extra money in my opinion.

In Canada they are suppose to give us generic unless we ask for name brand, The reason is because generic is much cheaper to produce and it saves the Canadian government money. Narcotic generic prescription drugs NEVER seem to work as well in my opinion, And I know this because i had to switch between them and noticed a huge differnce. If your treating a cold or infection generics probably ok, But Anything else i would only get name brand (if they carry it or they can order it in).

This isn't what the OP is talking about. And... you're smoking crack if you think there's no difference between HG test and your typical UGL Test.

sorry i mis understood. to me anything that comes from a doct would be considered pharm grade.

i have ran both hg test and ugl test.i felt NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL. not in gains, sides or on blood work. do u care to share what the difference would be? legit test is test. except id pay 5 times as much for pharm grade. test is so cheap it is pointless to underdose. tren/primo/eq/parabolan on the other hand is completely a different story.

Of course there would be some QC differences, no doubt, but in the big picture they use the same products, oils and so on - rarely a results difference.

I just got blood work from a "trusted source".. been in the game a LONG time and everyone swears by the guy. Test levels were at 1800 from running 800mgs a week. Way under dosed. Errors in UGL's are going to be FAR more frequent.

guess its time to look for a new source lol. it only costs a few bucks to produce a bottle of test for me to make it myself. ugls would get powder for dirt cheap if big labs as they buy so much of it. your source must be a prick lol
