Do thoes scales that you stand on that give you your weight and BF% measurments work very well?

No, they absolutely suck!!!

I don't understand how they could work personally I have never seen one.But how something could figure your bf on your weight doesn't make sense to me

the bodyfat scales use a very generalized formula to assess your BF%. It might come close if you are the "normal" person that doesn't have a lot of muscle mass.

I remember my Mom bought me one for X-mas. It said I was 35%.haha

I took it back to the store and the sales lady was like, "we have the athlete version." Uhmmm, no thanks, I'll take the $100.

they can be a very useful tool to keep track of progress. Yes, they are +/- 6% off usually, but it is off consistently. That means that if you stand on it and you get a BF result of 20%, that number might not be correct. BUT, if you stand on it again two weeks later and your BF is 16%, then you can be pretty sure that you have lost about 4% BF. I have used those scales to track progress, but I always have a caliper test done to get a baseline to start from.

had one and like RJ, took that thing back to the store... not worth the money. just find a gym that does it for you.. I think my gym does it for like 5 bucks....
