LOL. C'mon....Favre against Montana? I would take Joe hands down. I'm a Brett fan, but Montana is hands down a better QB. I think Marino was the greatest. No one did more with less. Give Marino a Rice or Craig, coupled with a Lott led defense and it's lights out.

I like Marino but the only thing that is keeping him down is championships. I've always like Marino but there will always be someone better. I believe the NFL is looking for Michael Vick to fill this area.

The players will become bigger, stronger and more atheletic as time progresses. Look at Tarkenton. He is considered one of the all time greats. In today's game, I think he would be just plain average. There are at least 7 or 8 guys that can do what he did and then some.

come you guys haven't forgotten the greats... Roger Stallback QB for Dallas.......I think he set the way for those guys......he was probably the idle for many of them.

Well see where do you end. I'd say Roger was a great quarter back but then you'd have to add Bradshaw and they both had great seasons with there teams but they just didn't make that big impact like Marino, Joe Montana, Elway, Farve and I would even go out and put Namath with that group. I don't know maybe it's just me.

Nameth is in the group of the all time greats bro. I hope and pray to see Chad Pennington up there someday too. I have seen that boy play in college and in his last championship conference game I went to, he played with a pulled hamstring and had to have someone help him on the field. He plays with all of his heart. I only hope to see the Jets get a bigger and faster offensive line to help him out more.

Chad Pennington is a big maybe although he's still young and learning. Too me he doesn't have that thing that the other greats have. You know who let me down is Drew Brees. I thought he was going to hop into the NFL and do some damage. But again he's still young and learning. We'll have to see in a few years were these cats stand. Payton Manning has the talent to do it but he hasn't reached that peek yet. That Monday night game when he brought them back to win just shows the talent he has, but it doesn't show every Sunday.

MattD. Yeah, Dillon seems to be on fire this year, but last year Corey didn't do too much unfortunately. The team hasn't really changed players much, but Marvin Lewis is turning the team around to my surprise....Lewis did his internship with the 49'ers by the way....in case I M IronMan is curious. One of you guys mentioned Marino being possibly the greatest QB....I will say, Maybe? He was awesome, but he never had a team to back him. I hated watching the dolphins play the packers only to see Marino throw great passes to never be caught because his offence couldn't get open enough. I remember seeing him many a time just turn to the coaches and raise his hands in the air as if to say, "Is this what you expect me to work with?"
