busy busy busy! Grappler's Quest is gonna be my first bjj/grappling/wrestling/submission tournament.. it should be alot of fun... I'm looking to place 1st in my division. Aside from that, I am really training very hard for my pro debut against Nike Knight, a very skilled fighter from Tailand who KO'd his last opponent in only 30 seconds of the 1st Round. After that I am off to Mexico, then back to Arizona. Following that, I will be competing in Rage In The Cage in Arizona every 4 weeks until I am done with the Lightweight tournement, and the journey to the Lightweight belt. I gotta fight 6 guys to get the belt, but am being given the chance, so I gotta give it all I got and win, otherwise I can just say bye to my chances of any big shows for me in the future. i have to win.

Enough about me... hows it hangin on your side of town?

most def.

it depends on what weight i am fighting at. in vegas i am competing at 149.9lbs, in arizona i am competing at 139.9lbs.

i am normally about 155lbs while training so getting to 149.9 is not hard. if i am around the same weight, i'll do alot of cardio for the first month or so, then i'll lift weights for the last month still with cardio... just in training only though. i'll train for about 3-4 hours a night. i basically drop weight, then bring my weight back up with muscle.

if i have to lose alot of weight (10lbs or more) then i'll lift for the first month.. hittin it hard, then the 2nd month do lots of cardio to drop my weight down. i'll still work some lifting into my schedule so i dont lose muscle or get weakened by all the cardio. my training consists of alot of cardio so i am always doing that. for training, i do everything preaty much.. i have to.

monday and wednesday - brazilian jiu-jitsu w/out the Gi for about 2 hours and lift or run (depending on what weight i am fighting at) for another hour.

tuesday - brazilian jiu-jitsu with the Gi for 1 1/2 hours, then i'll do wrestling for 1 1/2 hours.

thursday - brazilian jiu-jitsu with the Gi for 1 1/2 hours, then i'll do boxing for 1 1/2 hours.

friday - brazilian jiu-jitsu w/out the Gi for 1 hour, wrestling for 1 hour, NHB/Full contact fighting for 1 hour.

saturday - wrestling for 1 hour, muay tai kickboxing for 2 hours.


thats about it. its not hard doing it, its hard being consistant. if you got consistancy and motivation to push you torward consistancy.. then everything else seems secondary.

There was xterme fighting in town last weekend and it was $25 bucks to get in. I tell ya what if i wanted to see men rollin' around in tight shorts i can just turn on the tv and watch wrestling. What a waste. The first match was over in 3seconds. The guy charged and got clocked up side his head and got knocked out. THis other match this one guy kept falling down when the guy would rush him. Not worth the money IMO.

That's the beauty of it Big, you plunk down 25 bucks and watch grown men beat the living hell out of each other, for nothing more than our entertainment. MMA fighting is the shit. Hats off to you dog!
