AAS vs moral values

i just wanted to post a thread that would open debate. i posted this on another board a couple of years ago & actually got verbally bashed by some members. it was humorous to say the least.
what i'm asking is, if using AAS is a personal conflict to you. do you think its moraly incorrect, do you have a personal conflict w/in yourself about the use of AAS.
i personaly think it it may be moraly incorrect for some & not others. it depends on how you react to them- if you become a raving loony.
now lets debate

I feel that the laws passed against steroids were a little unjust but I can see logic in controlling them too. The issue with me is that I do not see them as a moral conflict for myself if you use them in proper and not insane dosages and they do not negatively alter your personality. I know that the Bible says to obey the laws of the land but does not encourage obedience to unjust laws. Can I live without steroids? Most definitely, yet, I do not feel they hold any danger toward myself. However, in one sense, yes, it would be immoral for me to use them even though I feel no conviction toward that. Could be that I feel no particular immorality for myself on that issue or my conscience has been seared relating to that issue.

my first cycle i had some conflict because they did alter my personality in a negative manner. that side effect has gone from bad attitude to just being a little iritable ocasionaly. i dont have an issue w/ that

Here's my view:

I WANT to do whatever I feel like doing b/c I'm free, when someone tells me I can't do this or that I can't understand why especially when it's the government I PAY TO RUN! out of MY OWN POCKET! you see the logic of protecting myself from myself does not apply to products that are not addicting and not problematic!

there are a lot of mood enhancing drugs that are legally prescrbed out there. - some women go psycho on birth control.

of course, no argument can be made against aas as long as alcohol is legal - one of the top reasons for death related accidents, etc in america.


I am however against meth - that shit really does make people fucking crazy.

Web, you make a hell of an argument there. Its true that alcohol causes more fatal accidents as well as murders and rapes than AAS ever did.

To me it is. The steroids are meant to help really sick people to recover from serious illnesses, right? If some healthy person does them in order to get bigger , is there anything wrong? Like heck there is!
If you reach a point u can`t get any bigger and injecting some shit makes u grow like a weed again , what was the cause of this new growth? Did u train harder? no . Smarter? nope. It came from that injection u did! That`s something i find cheating : got results purely from these products.
If u can`t get bigger with hard training + the great natural supplements u have in the country of ours then what`s the deal?
Risk your own health , possibly ruin your future and for what? To be BIG!Great, anyway that`s how I feel about this topic.

uhh ,how old is arnold. stick around & educate yourself a little more before you speak out of ignorance. & if speaking of anabolics offends you then you will be offended on a daily basis visiting BBing boards. but i do agree the abuse of AAS will lead to problems

I think there is an ENORMOUS difference between comparing what Arnold was putting in his body and what the top guys are taking today. They are endangering themselves, no denying that.

I have no hangups with aas useage. I do however have a problem with the government jumping on the juice bandwagon when things that do much more harm to our bodies are readily available, such as tobacco and alcohol. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like getting filthy sloppy drunk and making a complete ass out of yourself, but I know of far more alcoholics that beat their wives and kids or are completely disfunctional than I know of people with problems with juice. Ever hear of anyone kill someone under the influence of gear? The problem is simple, RJ Reynolds donates a little more money to our fine politicians then Organon. Damn, I guess I went a little off topic...

Is it cheating? Well, that's even easier. If the rules of your athletic organization say no gear, then yes, it's cheating. If you have no such organization or there is no such rule, then exactly who are you cheating?
