What is a bench shirt??

I just read an older post and you guys were talking about a bench shirt, could you tell me what it is. I don't know if I have ever seen a bench shirt.

a shirt usually used in compititions. it fits tight enough to hold your arms up & you can usually add about 10-20 lbs on your bench max. it is also used for shoulder support

It can add from between 75 -200#'s with the right material (Denim or canvas) proper technique and form... crazy huh?

i've seen guys at comp's have to be cut out of them they're so tight LOL..

mine is so tight my roommate has to pull it on me and peel it off. Almost makes me claustrophobic

the open backs are much eiser to get in and out of, but it all depends on whats leagle for the sanction your in..
