This is the best way I know of how to do it, but I may be making a mountain out of a mole hill too. Can you create the account of Tink? I should be able to do is to merge the accounts keeping the name Tink as the user name.

Yeah, if you re-register, both usernames could be merged with the Tink name being the destination name. I think.
