My hubby and I are alike where our shallowness comes in, which is important to me. We are both attractive & very attracted to one another
We love sports and going to games (doesn't really matter what kind: baseball, ftball, b-ball)
We love to be outdoors
We still talk to each other, even on long trips

However,
I workout, WAY more than he does
He's kind of a pussy, I'm kind of a ***** (which works out well)
He gives in, I don't give an inch (when it's something I'm passionate about)
He has a LOW pain tolerance, mine is pretty damn high for a girl
He likes to go out to eat and go to the movies, I like to party like there's no tomorrow
He's tidy and well dressed, I hate to clean and would rather wear a ball cap and jeans
He listens to country, I like rock, rap, 80's whatever
I like to hunt, fish and I love big trucks, He is a total city boy and wants a BMW

Not a fairtale, but I think some differences, especially personality differences are what makes things work. If my man was as hot tempered as I am, we would kill each other, instead he keeps a cool head and we get through stuff. He's also very forgiving. All I have to do is say that I'm sorry and acknowledge my mistakes and he's over it. Actually, I really have no idea why he loves me and is still w/ me, except that I have his baby now, but he was here to stay even before that. He's a great guy and I really don't like myself all that much. Sometimes (a lot) I wonder what the hell he's thinking. And before any of you guys say it, hotness doesn't matter. I think there was a quote somewhere on here the other day that said "No matter how hot she is, there is some guy out there that's tired of her shit!" Lol... I guess it's kind of like that.

Val I usually make light of all situations and arguments but this will not be one of those deals. I have had my wife tell me most of the stuff you said towards the end of your post. When my wife messes up and she does often(recovering alcoholic and user) She says she is sorry. This usually isnt very good for me but when I see her trying to get better I have a tendancy to hope for the best. I can only imagine your hubby has the same hopes and thoughts of you, for those times you dont understand why he would ever forgive you. I fell in love with a girl that wasnt much different than me, she took a turn for the worst, drugs cheating stealing, but I do my best to see the girl she used to be. On another note, if you do not like yourself for your actions then they are hurting you, and most likely the people who want the best for you. (insert sappy music here)

You haven't been around long enough to understand that I never lose an argument....ever. Every girl I've ever met that she was something special intellectually got put in her place real fast when she tried to argue with me. I'm not bragging because it's the truth...and I'm bragging. I don't argue unless I know what I'm talking about inside and out.

I do find the innocent, dumb chicks to be sorta cool but only if they listen to me and say "wow, you're so smart" or something else that strokes my ego. The girl I'm seeing now is pretty damn smart. She is actually turned on by my rants and that in turn gives me an erection.
