My cat was chasing a mouse - Pics

I'm in the basement and I see that kitty is trotting along with a mouse.



She poses for a picture.



Then, she puts it down :dunno:



But only so she could chase it around some more.



She caught it again and was showing off.



Then she puts it down again.



And the mouse is trembling in fear.



Then the other cat decides he wants in on the action.



And they let the mouse run off so they can chase it down again.




I guess kitty didn't want to kill the mouse, she just wanted to play.

thats cool as hell. all my cat does is leave little mousy corpses on the front porch.

A month or so ago it was in a different spot down here too. You should see all the stuff behind the weights and that bench. I have all my grandmother's china back there, lots of stuff from there house...it's all stacked up because I have no where else to put it.

THAT was so funny! A few years back, there was a National Geographic special about called "Cats." One of the points they mentioned was that most domestic housecats have retained the instinct to hunt, but that they forget WHY!

I have this God-forsaken Persian that has NO TEETH! The breeder was going to put him to sleep, but we rescued him--and yes, we have to spoon feed him. Even with no teeth, has the instinct to chase everything that moves, and if it ISN'T moving, he'll make it move. I keep finding my pens and pencils and reading glasses on the floor. He's big into paper clips and rubber bands too.

Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if we were all so good at creating our own fun?

House cats are fun as hell to watch play. The two in the pics will chase each other all around the house and play "kitty bowling ball" tackling each other. They really go apeshit when they see a fly.

Was watching them one day, Tiger (the orange one) was laying on the floor by the couch and Ariel was jumping onto the edge of the couch and then coming straight down off of it and landing on him. Watching Tiger stalk the other cats is funny. He'll start crawling and when he's ready to run or pounce, he wiggles his ass a few times. He's lazy as fuck though, I've watched him playing with Ariel and he'll start crawling across the floor, next thing you know he's laying down lounging. I think he's mildly narcoleptic.

I'm not really much of a cat fan I won't lie.

I am not either but my three legged cat doesnt really do much and he is good with the girls, this means he puts up with alot of shit. I guess he is pretty cool.
