I was looking at those to begin with because they are so cheap. I could have got a GSXR 400 or a CBR 400 for less than 2k. Not really my style though.

Keep your eyes open for NSRs, CBRs, and other sport bikes before you come back to the states. Check ebay auctions on the bikes you can find and compare what you'd spend to what you'd make when you sold them. I know I'd personally love to get my hands on an NSR and turn it into a track bike.

Are the NSRs two stroke? They have some two strokes here that are supposed to be purely evil. I understand they are illegal in the states though.

Very few 2 strokes are street legal in the US. That's ok though, because every 8-12K miles you have to tear the engine down and rebuild them depending on how the compression is holding up and how hard you've been riding.

As a track bike, however, there's no restrictions on that as long as you meet all the safety requirements of the track you're playing on that day.

Yes, you want a pure evil 2 stroke for a track bike. What a 125 or 250 lacks in top speed it makes up for in accelaration and handling.

Hopefully in a few years when you're getting ready to come back we're all still here at MMS, I've got money, and you can find me a kick ass NSR :spankin
