Dang ol' dang man.... so there was a power surge

from a lightening storm...
The damn thing blew out my modem... (it's pluged into a surge protector too), it blew up the garage door opener ( brand new) and a baby video monitor (Also brand new) It also messed up the digital thermostat.

all in all that was a $500.00 surge... Luckily everything is covered. But, Faak who wants to deal with it? Life could be worse though.

I lost a ton of stuff like that once... it sucked.... microwave, modem, AC thermostat, cable box. I hope you get all new stuff!

yeah...well...all of it was already new ...but dassok maing... everything will be replaced. I no worrry bout no ting. I have my family and they are healthy... that's all that is important.

I have to remind myself of all that I do have, because when it all went down I was the crazy woman shaking her fists at the sky for a minute.

but the deductable is more than all the shit would cost.....time warner owns the cable modem so phuk them gimme a new one...and the garage door opener has a lifetime warranty so phuk them too ..and the baby monitor has a re-cepit and VOO took care of that sooooo..actually could have been worse but all is good....it was a nice light show btw..big purple flash
