dont mess with an AR - 15 they suck - My AK is a much better gun than the AR-15 I had - damn thing wouldnt feed for shit and jammed all the time - thing about the AK - not the most beautiful gun but bury it in the sand for a year and you can still dig it up and shoot it

if you can some how find a c7 which is basically an ar 15 or a m16,but it doesnt jam like cheapo american versions and can fire in artic conditions aswell.

I was in the USMC for 4 years and have had enough experience with the M16 to know that I want an AR-15.

I'm going to assemble my own. The upper reciever and a few other parts are going to run me around $300, then for the lower and the rest of the stuff I need we're talking another $200-250. Biggest bonus to all that is I will have put the entire thing together myself, so if I have any issues, I'll know how it all comes apart and goes back together. You'd think I would know this already, but we weren't allowed to do anything but a field stripping. It will be my first time messing with the fire control group. Should be fun, and I've been told it's not that hard to do.

Doing it that way I know I'll have high quality parts but won't have to spend $800 to get that quality.


I still need to straighten the front sight post on my AK. My 25 yard groups are low and to the left. It took me a few range trips and a lot of slow, steady, controlled fire to come to that conclusion. I need to go out and get one of those lazer pointers and jam it in the barrel so I can mess with it at home. It would be too much of a ***** to try and straighten out on the range, as I'd probably be there all damn day doing it.

I don't think I've ever been that drunk. I didn't sober up until sometime in the afternoon. If I would've stuck to just beer I would have been in much better shape yesterday.
