The Long weekend starts today

My daughter's in a bit of a funk so I'm spending some time with her today. Being a teenager is tough. Her biggest stress right now is trying to pass 8th grade so she can get to high school and she's having a super hard time. The idiots at school put her in advanced classes but she's not cutting it. She's ADHD and stopped taking her meds for much of the last few months and is struggling bad. Then there are the typical issues with friends and the guy she likes was put away for mental/emotional problems and she's missing him bad. We talk a lot and are really tight but there really aren't any quick fixes for some of what she's going through and she's really down at times. I'm looking forward to this last week of school being over so she can take a break from all the BS. We picked up a movie last night and we're gonna watch it together after she gets out of the shower.
