Haha I'm right there with you. Fortunatly mine is hooked up for free by some freak accident. They've come out to audit the property twice and both times my apartment has remained untouched. I'd like to say I had a hand in acquiring it, but that would be a lie.

I have digital cable with HDTV and HDMI, but I have it mainly for the internet. I do have the NFL network though. The problem is with the states sometimes. Some states control the cable towers and dishes so that is leased out to the cable companies who maintain the service and lines. When this is the case, cable gets pretty expensive. When a company can come in, set up their own towers and dishes without leasing, they can stay for the long haul and charge less than other states.
