Punk Rock. Anyone like Punk music?

I love punk rock to be honest. I'm not totally sure what passes as punk music these days since some of the stuff sounds more like a bubblegum pop version of punk. Take Greenday for instance.....punk? I think Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols said that Greenday only wishes they could be punk like them. Greenday blows and Billy Joe is as good of a plagarist as John Williams of the Boston Pops Orchestra. Now, the Clash rocked. The Sex Pistols rocked. The Dead Kennedy's rocked. Pennywise, Strung Out, Rancid, The Dead Milkmen all rocked.

If you are not familiar with punk I'd like to recommend these tunes and some of them may also be cover songs as well.

Sex Pistols: Anarchy in the UK (pretty obvious)
Iggy Pop: Lust for Life
Pennywise: Bro Hymn
Pennywise: Various covers of the Beach Boys hits
Goldfinger: Rio (cover of Duran Duran....his name is Dio, Ronnie James Dio!)
Clash: Rock the Casbah, London Calling, Should I Stay or Should I Go, etc..
Rancid: Ruby Ruby Soho, Timebomb
Strung Out: Bring out the Dead
The Dead Kennedy's: Holiday in Cambodia
The Dead Milkmen: Punk Rock Girlfriend, Taking Retards to the Zoo, What the *****s Are Doing to the Soil, Roly Poly Fishheads, etc...
Atari's: Boys of Summer (cover of Don Henley)
The Ramones: Beat on the Brat, I Want to Be Sedated, Blitzkrieg Bop, etc...

There are quite a few more but this should be a good list to get you liking punk music. Just don't listen to Greenday or you will be a quivering mass of politically correct, estrogen, quivering, early morning puke kinda stuff.

ramones I know a few songs. Pet Semetary is obvious pick. we had a cover band here named Ne Luumäet ( ie "those bonehills" ) and they did some decent covers in our language of Ramones. Johnny Rotten can ....... if I´m asked . Clash I know sort of as well .
For a year or so I sterted every workshift by listening Pet Semetary LOUD from a shitty c- casette radioplayer. every workshift, then the casette disappeared ....:hide
