I've only tried the La Maudite (The Damned) and I was not all that impressed. The flavor was like a strong alcohol content, fizzy bubble gum flavored beer in a way. If you drink enough of it, you can get past the taste since this beer has an 8% alcohol content. On a good note, their bottles are really awesome. http://www.oldspeckledhen.co.uk/ My absolute favorite beer for now. This is a fantastic beer that tends to be deceptive in its color and appearance compared to its taste. It does not appear to be a pale ale, but it is smoother and fresher than any pale ale I've tried. If you can go to a decent sized liquor store you may be able to find this incredibly good ale and you really should treat yourself. Get it in the cans if possible because they are the freshest of all with a CO2 cartridge that pops upon the release of pressure from popping the tab. Even though it is an amber, it goes down as smooth and crisp as a good pale ale with a hint of fruitiness and a hint of toffee. The aftertaste will be like a solid and good draught or dry beer. This ale also works perfect with good beer battered fish and chips. http://www.stella-artois.com/index.jsp This is another clean and refreshing amber like the Old Speckled Hen. I've never been a fan of Belgian beers like Grolsh and Heineken (they taste cheap and nasty), but the Stella Artois is the best I've tasted from Belgium. This is another really smooth beer with a dry aftertaste like a good beer should be. Also, this site is interactive with trap puzzles to figure out and it is pretty cool puzzles to test the wit. There is also a beer pouring challenge and selecting the best accompaniment for the beer to make the glass perfect. However, watch out because someone might distract you and drink down your perfectly poured beer. http://www.kentuckyale.com/kentuckya...ing.html#bbale The Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is another one of those amber ales that has a really cool twist about it. It has the smoothness of a great amber much like Old Speckled Hen, but the beer had been stored in bourbon whiskey barrel casks to absorb some of the oak flavor from the spent Woodford Reserve whiskey barrels. Woodford Reserve IMHO is the best of American bourbon whiskeys with Knob Creek being very similar. Some will swear that Makers Mark is the best, but it is only the best for an every day drinking whiskey while Woodford Reserve is the best any day you drink it. The beer is supposed to have a slight hint of vanilla, but I've never tasted the vanilla in it. I have tasted a hint of oak in the beer giving it a bit of an earthy and charred flavor, yet lighter than you'd think with the right amount of carbonation in the bottle. I may rank other beers as time goes by, but for now, three of the four are worth buying and sipping on. However, the Old Speckled Hen tastes so good you may chug it.
