I'm So FRUSTRATED!

My laptop crashed. Something with the Wondows System 32 file.
I lost a WHOLE YEAR of work including the 13 page paper I put +/-80 hours into this last week. To top it off I am totally computer illiterate.

I am going to try and reformat it if I can figure out how.....I wish it was a calculator. So much easier for me to work.

One of two thing are going to happen by night's end.
1. I will get wifi and video drivers up and working.
2. I am going to beat the **** out of it with a hammer.

Im not good with computers either.
Is there anyway you can bring it to a professional? Be careful not to do more harm to it trying to fix it.

What system are you running? PC, MAC?

One thing that I like about Windows XP is that you can go back and restore your PC to an eariler time..

Sys 32file sounds like you had/have a virus.

Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

yeah... see...I had to wipe everything out on the C drive because I couldn't even get into windows because the sys32 file being corrupted/missing.

So, when I try that there are no back-up dates in history.

Ohh well....

I am using the lappy now, was able to install all drivers.

However, now....my USB ports do not work nor does my CD writer.

Which would be nice as I have to get the pictured off of my D drive.

Luckily, I saved all of my pictures to the D drive which has a partition. So, they were not lost. I was about to cry at the thought. I can rewrite that freaking paper, I cannot rewind time to get those pictures of my Baby girl and loved ones back.

You should be able to go to the PC manafacturer website/CD writer and download the missing drivers..Glad to hear you did not loose "all" your things that cannot be replaced. I have had that happen to me many times over the years; loosing irreplacables. Even though I have a backup partition drive I still invested in a external hard drive that plugs into my usb port so I can store my valuables. They are great to have, and for under $100 dollars are a worthy investment.
