Growing up I never really cared for the animals we had except for one little white peke (Sing-how) that was given to my brother when he was in the hospital and in bad shape. I remember my mom and I sneaking this fuzzball puppy into the icu and my brother responded to her... Call it what you want, I call it a miracle. Anyway, my mother told my brother as long as he fought to get better to get out of the hospital she would bring the dog to see him every day. It's wierd to think this animal was therapuetic for him in helping him recover from his surgery. He had that dog for 15 yrs.... and when she died a few years back it sucked. I never thought I could be attached to that dog as much as my brother was. When my mom got another peke to replace Sing-how my brother did'nt want the dog and left him in the cold garage... I had a hard time seeing that and took the dog along with another puppy from the same liter he came from. My two mutts have my heart wrapped around thier paws.

I agree that dogs are really connected with humans in that way. I'm really glad you took care of the doggie, he didnt do anything wrong, i dont like seeing them put in a bad spot like that, i can't blame your brother though...he had some other thoughts going on

Fiesta week it coming up and I'm taking my dogs to the pooch parade! All the crazy animals bring thier pets and dress them up and perch em up on a float! Some people really go all out... even dressing like thier dogs! That's a little to excessive for me, but it's funny to see.
