That one looks just like my dog "Lady."

My family calls her my dog because I'm the only person that she will come to...she loves only me. Her mother (Queen) though was a wonderful dog and she would have been a dog than anyone could steal because she'd jump in a stranger's car and if she could speak she'd say, "Okay, where are we going?"

No one will dissuade me from the Elkhound. My second favorite breed is Border Collie. Those are great dogs for children, very protective, and very industrious and ingenious dogs. Elkhounds will probably always be my favorites though....they are so very loving with their masters or whoever they take up with. Lady will literally jump into my arms like a 50 lb sack of potatoes and knock me over when she isn't trying to climb into the car with me when I go to visit my family.

Elkhounds really should be outdoor dogs, but if everyone on this board had one elkhound pup to raise, they would never want another breed ever.

These dogs are just totally useless.... they sleep all day and snore!!! Lazy, lazy dogs!

They are gorgeous for sure. They don't seem like they'd so well in warmer climates, their coat bears resemblance to a Husky.
